Treat positioning, warming and lighting as separate needs
A platform provides positioning and working space; warming and lighting serve other supporting roles. A platform does not automatically include a heater or light. List the needs separately, then confirm whether a set or several individual items address them.
Check restraint and platform dimensions first
For restraint devices, boards and intubation platforms, record species, animal-size range, platform dimensions, access direction and workspace limits. Confirm attachment parts and adjustment requirements. Request a dimensioned drawing when a photograph cannot resolve the layout.
Distinguish a heated pad from feedback control
Harvard Apparatus describes a system that adjusts heating using temperature-probe feedback. Purchasing checks should distinguish heating, temperature display and feedback control rather than assuming every warming pad provides them all. This reference is not a specification claim for Zhonglong products; confirm the selected model's probe, controller, alarm and monitoring requirements.

Review lighting, power and cleaning together
For a task light, check its mounting, working distance, adjustment and power supply. Confirm surface materials and cleaning instructions for platforms and warming equipment too. Temperature settings, restraint techniques and monitoring requirements must follow institutional procedures and model instructions; this is not an operating protocol.
